Our Mission

The strategic planning process is absolutely critical for the long term success of any business or organization. The current board of directors recognized that Pine Acres was lacking in this regard and sought to rectify it. During the winter between the 2017 and 2018 seasons, the board met weekly to craft a strategic plan that would provide Pine Acres the direction needed to be successful for years to come.

The mission statement for Pine Acres was created from these planning sessions. It was determined that an emphasis on three key areas was necessary to ensure success and sustainable growth. These three areas are:

The board of directors is dedicated to fully enacting this plan and living by the mission statement. We will hold ourselves accountable to this and will expect the same from our employees. We ask that you as members take this mission statement to heart as well and use it to promote our club.

Providing  a Remarkable Experience

Creating a remarkable experience for our members, guests, and personnel is the corner stone of our mission statement. The following ideas can help us achieve that remarkable experience.

  • Enhancing the customer service experience
    • Develop training for our staff
    • Developing a culture in the club that promotes fun & comradery
    • Grow our brand
    • Foster a social atmosphere
  • Have employee appreciation days where the board, and possibly the membership, gives back to our staff
  • A long term goal is to create member rewards program
  • Offer a mobile app that adds value to a member when they use it
  • Programs that recognize member participation and employee dedication
  • Grow the reciprocal program
  • Continue to add benefits that encourage Pine Acres membership

Forging Partnerships that Strengthen Our Local Community

  • Strengthen our relationship with the Bradford School District
  • Find new causes that we can champion
    • Reach out to local charities and organizations that we can help, whether through hosting tournaments, providing items to help raises funds, or just spreading awareness of their cause
    • Create a platform to share charity activities throughout the year, even when we are closed for the season
  • Look into creating package deals with local businesses that will bring added benefits to our members
  • Create a Stay & Play agreement for guests outside of the area, or for our members traveling to play other courses.
  • Strengthen our relationship with the regional airport to give our members access to golf outside of our area, but to also bring new golfers to our club
  • Build relationships with our reciprocal courses outside of just the standard reciprocal agreement
  • Reach out to the YMCA to grow the game and promote healthy activities for members of our community
  • Grow junior golf by creating scholarships and helping junior golfers realize how golf can benefit their future

Launching Initiatives with a Focus on the Future

  • Promote the club as a wedding venue in our area and book more of them
  • Grow the junior program and place an emphasis on juniors in general since they are the future of the club and the game of golf as a whole
    • Create scholarships
    • Revamp and reinvigorate the program
  • Review potential course improvement projects and create plans to complete them
  • We will fight for our club’s financial independence and work to put it onto solid ground for the next generation of members. We will live by the concept of financial stewardship, understanding that we are caretakers with the responsibility of ensuring the financial health of our club for future generations.
  • Bring Pine Acres into the 21st century by embracing advancements in technology. We will look to become an innovator in the golf and entertainment market in our community.
