At Pine Acres we truly believe that getting kids into golf is absolutely crucial toward the growth of the game. On top of that, golf is a challenging game that teaches kids respect, discipline, perseverance, and humility, all while building comradery. Oh, and did we mention it’s a lot of fun too?
We have several programs at Pine Acres for kids to get involved in. Additionally, we want to connect kids with other opportunities in our area and beyond!
New this year, we now have Level 1 and Level 2 Junior plates! Thanks to a generous donation from the City Beers Golf League all 18 holes have two new tee box locations for junior golfers so they can tee off from distances more suited for their current game.
Penn York Junior Golf
The Penn-York Junior Golf League was founded in 1970 by the late
Dr. Robert Davis a former Olean resident and Bartlett Country Club
member. His vision was to give young golfers the opportunity to
participate in a competitive tournament atmosphere at an affordable
price.
For the past 47 years an estimated 5,000 junior golfers walked the fairways
competing for divisional trophies and bragging rights. Many of these kids went
on to become involved in the business of golf through many different aspects
of the game.
